Commercial pilot program

Our Commercial Pilot program prepares an Instrument Rated Private Pilot to advance into commercial aviation.   Commercial Aviation is a vast arena, allowing for an individual to pursue their passion.  Careers vary widely.  A few examples are, Flight Instruction, Skydiving, Aerial Photography, Charter Pilot, Corporate Pilot, Crop Dusting, and Airline Pilot.

The minimum training requrements are as follows:

 

Obtain a minimum of 250 flight hours as a pilot

 

Log a minimum of 100 hours PIC time (at least 50 has to be in airplanes)

Receive 20 hours of flight training that includes at least:

               10 hours of complex, turbine, or TAA time

                2 hour daytime cross-country >100nm

                2 hour nighttime cross-county >100nm

                Minimum of 10 hours instrument training

Log a minimum of 10 hours solo or PIC with instructor on board that includes at least:

               One cross-country at least 300nm long, 3 points of landing, 250nm from departure point

                 5 hours nighttime VFR, and 10 night landings at airport with operating control tower

Pass the required knowledge test

Pass the required practical test

The actual cost to complete the Commercial Pilot Certification program will depend on the amount of flight time and training time required to meet the experience and proficiency requirements. (Assuming an individual had 140 hours total time upon completing their instrument training, approximate costs would range between $14,500 and $16,000 depending on proficiency.)
